The poisoning of the world by pesticides has already dramatically been felt in the arctic. In Silent Snow Pipaluk Knudsen Ostermann travels around the world looking for the causes and world wide dillemmas of this problem. A short 14 minutes trailer film within the Silent Snow project had it's premiere at IDFA, is shown at festivals and schools all over the world and received 12 international awards and honorable mentions.

Looking for truth in her country that is torn apart by violence, the Colombian journalist Jineth Bedoya Lima became herself a victim of rape. She, like million other women, kept silent for years, out of shame, for fear of humiliation, for the lack of understanding from society and because of the apparent impossibility to bring the perpetrators to justice. When she decided to long longer keep quiet, she became the spokesperson for all the victims.

Thousands of local people took to the streets, accusing the Americans of deliberately firing on civilians. In the film we speak with victims and witnesses like a photographer who was told by the American army: ?You delete your pictures, or we delete you?.
